Here are five incredible outdoor spots most visitors to Sydney never get to see!
1. Observatory Hill
Just a 15-minute walk from Circular Quay but unknown to so many, Observatory Hill is the most elevated natural point in the centre of Sydney at 40 metres high. Enjoy privileged views of the city skyline, bridge and west. Go there for sunset!
2. Wendy’s Secret Garden
A haven of serenity on Sydney’s North Shore, the Secret Garden is a special place for picnics, strolls and amazing harbour views. It’s a short walk over the Harbour Bridge, or you can take the train to Milsons Point Station..
3. Paddington Reservoir Gardens
Often compared to the Baths of Caracalla in Rome, this former water reservoir has been transformed into a beautiful green space with immaculate gardens and wide boardwalks. Be sure to visit while you’re in Paddington.
4. Cremorne Reserve
There are so many gems along the harbour’s edge, but few beat Cremorne Reserve for off-the-beaten-path city views in a relaxing space. Hint: bring your swimsuit for a dip in Maccallum Pool!
5. Long Gully Bridge
A suspension bridge with two beautiful sandstone towers tucked away surprisingly in suburban Sydney. Tunks Park runs beneath the bridge and is a great place to walk all the way to the water’s edge. Also known as Northbridge.
